The game's data

The map is the PlayStation game's own code, recovered by the Lain PSX decompilation archived, running in the browser with the game's art, fonts and animation. The file list comes from the disc's node table; the links between files and media come from lainTSX archived by ad044 and contributors. The audio and video of the files were extracted from the original discs.

Research and scans

The archive leans on lain.wiki archived, Lawrence Eng's misceLAINeous archived pages (the oldest Lain archive on the web), tachibana.blog archived, Chiaki J. Konaka's own lain pages archived, the uploaders who put magazines, discs and booklets on the Internet Archive archived, Anime News Network's encyclopedia and Wikipedia in English and Japanese. Each entry lists its own sources, and each mirrored scan says who made it.
