Reichi "Chabo" Nakaido 仲井戸"CHABO"麗市

Music; ending theme 'Tooi Sakebi' (遠い叫び, 'Distant Scream')

Nakaido is a veteran Japanese rock guitarist, born 9 October 1950, best known as a member of RC Succession alongside Kiyoshiro Imawano from 1979, and as a solo artist and with his own band since. He was an unusual choice for a late-night anime. He wrote and sang the closing song, Tooi Sakebi, whose lyrics speak of being punished for no crime and of outlaws drifting through the night, and he recorded the soundtrack album with keyboard player Tatsunosuke from his band. Much of the ambient sound heard within episodes, though, came from Akira Takemoto's sound team rather than from Nakaido. One of his songs also plays over the post-reset morning in Layer 13. Outside Lain his anime work is rare; lain.wiki notes the opening song of Akagi (2006).
